On July 17, the "International Forum on AI Standardization" of the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) was held in Shanghai. Ke Jixin, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Chen Jie, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Mayor of Shanghai, and Amandeep Singh Gill, United Nations Under‑Secretary‑General and Envoy of the Office of Digital and Emerging Technologies, attended the forum and delivered addresses.

As an invited participant, EDRI joined hands with the Engineering Construction Management Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China Electronics Quality Management Association, China Electronics Standardization Institute and Huawei to jointly release the Guidelines for Resilient Deployment and Construction of Computing Power Facilities Projects.
